About the Speaker

 

Post Graduate in Computer Science from the premier institute in India, IISc. Joined as a fresher in 1982 in a premier IT Consulting company, TCS and serving for the last 33+ years. Climbed up the roles and responsibilities and led the software delivery from India to a Telecom Major in US/Canada. Took up the business development and marketing for TCS during DotCom era working from Silicon Valley. Established several academic relationships with North American Universities for research collaborations. Resurrected Systems Engineering center in TCS giving a R&D focus to address the needs of business consulting, competence development, software quality and business value articulations. Published several research papers in international forums and patented certain assets, too. Some of the filed ones in the areas of Cybernetics Search and Requirement Elicitation were granted with patents. Several invited talks were given covering the areas of design, leadership, social responsibility, program management and smart cities in reputed forums, locally as well as internationally. Member of several Professional bodies including IEEE, ACM, INCOSE, ASC and IETE. 

The other side me is working as a volunteer at local, national and regional levels with professional bodies such as IEEE and INCOSE. On several advisory, program and technical committees. Participated in several executive education programs at MIT, IIM-B, NIAS (IISc). Passionate about people development both technical as well as managerial.
