  • Toshio Fukuda graduated from Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan in 1971 and received the Master of Engineering degree and the Doctor of Engineering degree both from the University of Tokyo, in 1973 and 1977, respectively, after studying at Yale in 1973-1975. He joined the National Mechanical Engineering Laboratory in Japan and also worked at the University of Stuttgart as a research Scientist. He joined the Science University of Tokyo in 1981, and then joined Department of Mechanical Engineering, Nagoya University, Japan in 1989. Oussama Khatib received his Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering from Sup’Aero, Toulouse, France, in 1980. He is Professor of Computer Science at Stanford University. His work on advanced robotics focuses on methodologies and technologies in human-centered robotics including humanoid control architectures, human motion synthesis, interactive dynamic simulation, haptics, and human- friendly robot design. He is Co-Editor of the Springer Tracts in Advanced Robotics series, and has served on the Editorial Boards of several journals as well as the Chair or Co-Chair of numerous international conferences. ...

Professor Eryk Dutkiewicz has over 25 years of industrial and academic research experience. He obtained his Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Adelaide, Australia in 1988, his Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of Adelaide, Australia in 1992 and his PhD  (Telecommunications) from the University of Wollongong, Australia in 1996. He began his research career at OTC R&D Laboratories in Sydney in 1988 working on pioneering broadband networking technologies. From 1999 to 2004 he worked at Motorola Laboratories in Sydney where he managed a wireless research laboratory....

Raouf Naguib is the Director of BIOCORE Research & Consultancy International and a Visiting Professor at Liverpool Hope University, UK. Prior to this he was Professor of Biomedical Computing and Head of the Biomedical Computing and Engineering Technologies Applied Research Group at Coventry University, UK. He has published over 360 journal and conference papers and reports in many aspects of health informatics, environmental health, social health, biomedical and digital signal processing, biomedical image processing and the applications of artificial intelligence and evolutionary computation in cancer research.
